An award-winning writer and performer, Ria began composing piano pieces at age 8 and from there expanded her skills as a vocalist, percussionist, and dancer. She is known for her wide range of music from jazz to hip hop to global Indian fusion. She has toured with and opened for varied and world renowned artists, including Simon Estes and Kid Ink. Ria moved to Minneapolis last year and recently formed the Ria Olson Jazz Trio. They perform throughout the Twin Cities area at both public and private events - continuing to deliver fresh and innovative music with a classic sound.
